Motivation & Objective

As past customers of a number of Travel Agents, we have noticed that a lack of customer care and rapport seemed to prevail in many of the agencies.

Even at the more respected agencies, a “Military-Style” approach seemed to be adopted to serve as many clients as possible to maximise profits but the care and attention lacking resulted in lower retail sales as the relationship between client and agent lacks trust due to a rushed and superficial interest.

While at the other end of the scale, we would find that waiting times for clients wanting quotes were unacceptably long because of inadequate staffing and booking arrangements. We also found that employees lacked motivation due to neglect from their employers and being over worked.

It is an unfortunate fact that despite these short comings, such businesses thrive because of the buoyant market which they serve.
